Exmoor Zoo is a unique rural zoo unlike any other wildlife parks. Get up close in North Devon with exotic animals and enjoy displays through the day. It’s great fun for all animal lovers.

4) Clovelly Village

This car-free village is a must see although make sure you have strong legs and sensible shoes! Walk down to the picturesque harbour and discover the rich history and country life that surrounds this closed away village. The Clovelly Donkeys are almost as famous as the village itself although there’s no donkey or pony rides to help you back up the steep path!

5) Tunnels Beach, Ilfracombe

Paying to get on a beach might seem a bit harsh but totally worth it at this quirky North Devon cove steeped in Victorian memorabilia to excite all history fans! There’s rock pools for the children to play safely in and a tidal Victorian bathing pool. The car park is reserved for admission guests only but there is normally parking nearby.

6) Woolacombe Beach

This stunning North Devon beach has miles of golden sand and a coast path to enjoy walking trails. Take the children rock pooling and create lasting childhood memories.

7) Lynton & Lynmouth

The highest and steepest water powered railway in the world is certainly worth experiencing! See the wild beauty as you plunge down the railway track.

Enjoy an action packed day! If the family are adrenaline junkies, you can dare each other to climb the high ropes or challenge each other on the ultimate assault at this brilliant outdoor adventure play! Perfect to release the big kid in you!
