The BIG Sheep is committed to providing Access for All. At the BIG Sheep we aim to give ALL our visitors a great and safe day out. Our caring and considerate team will endeavour to meet the individual needs of all our visitors and are always happy to provide help and assistance where necessary. We will attempt to do whatever it takes to ensure we meet individual needs and requests.

We offer a discounted disable rate of £12.95 per person and a carer can enter for free. Please note a proof of disability such as a blue badge will be required.

Site Access

The main park areas are accessible by ramps throughout.

Parking

The BIG Sheep is very easily accessed by wheelchairs with several parking spaces for registered disabled persons immediately adjacent to the main entrance. In the event that these spaces are full on arrival we recommend that where practicable, wheelchair users in particular exit their vehicles at the main entrance before their vehicle is parked in the main car park.

Wheelchair Access

We have a limited number of wheelchairs on site, available free of charge on a first come first served basis or you can call to reserve one in advance of your visit. All areas of the park are accessible by wheelchair, but The BIG Sheep is a farm and some paths may be steep and a little uneven.

Pushchairs

All areas of the park are accessible with a buggy or pushchair, but The BIG Sheep is a farm and some paths may be steep and a little uneven. There is space by all attractions to park your buggy where a member of staff or your own party can watch it.

Toilets

The park has full disabled toilet facilities in two locations.

Guide Dogs

Guide Dogs are welcome at The BIG Sheep.

The Barn Café and Patio

Fully accessible with no steps or raised areas.

Country Life Brewery Shop

Fully accessible.

Sheepy Shop

There are two routes to the shop. The first is via a wide staircase from the Main Reception and not suitable for wheelchair users. Access for wheelchair users is via the gently sloping ramp and through the gallery which contains a fixed ramp over three stairs.

Indoor Show Arena

This is a tiered amphitheatre style building with bench seating. Fully accessible by wheelchair at ground level for viewing shows.

Patio Ice Cream Kiosk

Fully accessible with access over wooden footbridge. There is a small and gentle arc in the bridge construction.

Sheepdog Trialling Field

Approached via a gentle concrete slope with space for wheelchair users to view the demonstrations from ground level.

Duck Trial Arena

Fully accessible at three of the four sides of the arena at ground level. The fourth side has a tiered viewing gallery. The approach to the arena is by means of a gentle concrete slope to a level viewing area.

Pets’ Corner

Fully accessible with no steps or raised areas.  Shares the same gentle concrete approach slope as the Duck Trial Arena.

Sheep Race

This area is fully accessible being on level ground.

Ewetopia Indoor Playground and Café

There is full access to the building and the seated café area within. The slides and the play equipment are accessed by stairs from the ground floor area. Access to the first-floor area is by stairs. There is wheelchair access via a part concreted, part unmade slope to doors at first floor level.

Ride Access and Safety

Restrictions and guidelines are clearly displayed at the entrance to the Rides and Amusement areas. It is important and the responsibility of each guest or their carer that these are read and adhered to.

It is recommended that before deciding to go on any of our rides that you watch it in action before boarding. Our Ride Operators are always happy to assist wheelchair users as and where it is practicable to enter or leave a ride.

Rampage Rollercoaster

Rampage can be accessed by wheelchair users if they can get on and off the rollercoaster carriages on their own or with the help of their carer. The rollercoaster station is fully accessible with a ramp leading to the coaster station. Wheelchair users are invited to access the rollercoaster from the exit ramp and are asked to please wait by the top gate for a ride operator to assist you. Entering the attraction via the exit ramp will help wheelchair users to easily access the ride and exit the ride after use.

Train Ride

Fully accessible with wheelchair carriage and ramp. There is a ramp leading to the station platform.

Swan Lake Pedalos

Not suitable for wheelchair users as there is a footbridge with numerous steps on the approach way.

Farm Safari Ride

Guests in wheelchairs can access the carriage with the help of carers who are able to assist them up into the raised carriage. This ride covers some uneven and bumpy terrain.

Piggy Pull-a-Long

The boarding area for this ride is level and guests in wheelchairs can access the ride with carers who are able to assist them into the carriages. There is a seat belt system in operation on this ride. This ride covers some uneven and bumpy terrain.

The Twister

The approach pathway to The Twister is an upward slope and will necessitate assistance for guests in wheelchairs. The boarding area for The Twister is level and where practicable guests in wheelchairs can access the ride with carers who are able to assist them up onto the platform and onto the ride.

Vintage Pony Carousel

This juvenile ride is situated on level ground and where practicable guests in wheelchairs can access the ride with carers who are able to assist them onto the ride.

Pony Rides

The area is approached by a part concreted, part unmade upward sloping pathway. Viewing is from a level surround.

Tractor Driving School

This coin operated juvenile amusement is approached on a level pathway.

Battlefield Live

The approach pathway is upward sloping and will necessitate assistance for wheelchair users. The terrain within the “Battlefield” is unmade but can be accessible to guests in wheelchairs.

Splash Zone and Jumping Pillows

The area is approached by a part concreted, part unmade upward sloping pathway. Viewing is from level ground.

Go Karts, Trampolines, Football Game and Archery Tag

The area is approached by a part concreted, part unmade upward sloping pathway. Viewing is from level ground.
