How do you keep the children occupied?

It’s a familiar cry from most parents every weekend and holiday. Amongst the complaints of ‘I’m bored!’, the lure of computer games and phones and needing to burn off energy, parents wonder what can they do to keep them interested.

Luckily in North Devon we have a wealth of activities on our doorstep!

We’re tucked away in a beautiful part of the country and a stunning part of Devon and our outdoors gives us great opportunities to explore nature.

Go out for a nature walk and create a scavenger hunt list of things to find and spot.

Leaves.
Rocks.
Pinecones.
Sheep.
Cows.
Birds.

The Big Sheep, one of Devon’s biggest al-weather attractions,  is packed with hands-on experience to get in touch with nature and all of our farm animals.

North Devon is renowned for its farmland and The Big Sheep brings all of the fun of the farm as well as Safari Tractor rides, sheep racing and more.

The Big Sheep is located in Bideford, and as well as all of the farm animals, you can also ride North Devon’s largest rollercoaster, watch live shows and enjoy daily events.

So next time the kids cry ‘I’m bored!’ step outside the front door, enjoy nature and, for the perfect day out…visit The Big Sheep.
