Family attractions in Devon

Devon and in particular, North Devon, is an excellent destination for a family looking for fun, creating memories and a holiday with many highlights.
From stunning coastal walks, rock pools to explore, sandy beaches to build sandcastles on, historical cities and landmarks to visit and more, Devon is a stunning location to see and do so much.

Devon also is home to many family attractions. Theme parks to experience thrills and adventures, family attractions for little ones and enough to keep the bigger ones entertained as well!
One such jewel is nestled in the stunning location of North Devon! The Big Sheep in Bideford is always a place you should have on your list of must-do’s when you visit Devon. Starting its life as a working farm, it soon opened its doors and now has evolved into a wonderful family attraction for all ages. The little ones will enjoy bouncing on the giant jumping pillows, taking a train ride from Eweston station and going for a ride on the swan pedalo. But there’s just as much for the bigger ones with thrilling roller coaster rides on the Rampage Roller Coaster, the largest roller coaster in Devon, flying through the air on the Twister (little ones can have a go as the operator will slow the ride down for them), and the Tractor Safari suitable for all of the family.

You’ll all want to get involved with cuddles with all of the farm animals and feeding the lambs, plus great displays from the amazing sheepdogs. You can cuddle lambs, puppies, kid goats all year round, and see the ducklings, chicks and guinea pigs. There are events throughout the day and even their own gin distillery on site that you can take a tour of!

We heavily recommend checking the website before your visit to plan your day but also to see if there are any gigs that you would enjoy that week as well. Plus if you book online, you can save on your tickets!

And finally, it’s guaranteed fun so if the weather stops you from any activity that you wanted to do, you’ll get free tickets to come back again.
