Attractions in Devon

Devon is one of the most beautiful places in the country, no actually, Devon is one of the most beautiful places in the world!
Miles and miles of beautiful coastline, and long stretches of golden sands to rival the Maldives.

Rambling nature walks, hidden history at every turn, quirky villages and tourist spots, culture in every city, long-forgotten traditions being played out every day, and some of the best theme parks in the country! There’s something for all ages to be found and if you are visiting you’ll be spoilt for choice.

There’s a reason why many people move down after experiencing an idyllic holiday!

One of the attractions packs in the most beyond all others.

The Big Sheep in Bideford, North Devon, started life as a working farm until one day, the owner, Rick Turner, opened his barn doors to invite the public to see a working farm in action. People loved watching feeding times and being able to get up close with all of the animals.

Over 30 years later, the farm has evolved into one of the top attractions in Devon!

As well as boasting of having the largest roller coaster, it also includes live displays, live events, seasonal themes and activities, family rides (including a tractor safari), and still at the heart of it is the chance for the whole family to get up close with the animals. You can feed a lamb, watch the sheepdog display, cuddle a goat, stroke a pig and more! Plus you can take the train around to see even more!

As a theme park it’s the perfect family day out. It’s all-weather fun and they even give a guaranteed fun promise if you haven’t been able to do anything due to the bad weather, you’ll get a free ticket to come back another time!
