Sunday 8th June 2008- Girl Guiding and Scouts Day

A special free day for all included in any of the Girl Guiding groups and Scouts groups. (Including Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Beevers, Cubs and Scouts.)
Just turn up in uniform and get free entry if you are accompanied by an adult.


Thurs 19th June 2008- 3:50pm - BIG Sheep Ascot - (Ladies Day)

A fun day out for all the ladies who can't make Ascot but want to dress up posh, don a hat and indulge in some champagne. If you bring a hat, we'll invite you to the Tattersall Enclosure where you will enjoy a complimentary glass of champagne to help you celebrate in style.
Sat 21st June 2008 - North Devon Brass Bands - 12pm - 4pm

North Devon has some of the top brass bands in the country and today a selection of bands will be performing at the BIG Sheep for everyone who enjoys BIG Bold sounds of horns, trumpets and trombones!
Sun 22nd June 2008 -The SW's Chocolate and Ice Cream Festival 11am - 4pm

A great gathering for all the South West's choc-o-holics and ice cream lovers! A day to forget the waistline and indulge in all things sweet. Enjoy watching our chocolate chompers as they compete for the title of the "Southwest Chocolate Chomping Champion"

Raku Pottery Opens

Paint your own Raku Pottery - great fun to paint and an ideal job to take home.

Wednesday 9th July 2008 Teddy Bear's Picnic for Toddlers - 3pm

Bring along your favourite teddy and picnic rug and enjoy a perfect picnic with the BIG Sheep's resident BIG Bear. You can bring along your own picnic or enjoy a take-a-way picnic from our Shepherds Restaurant. If the weather is wet, don't despair because we will provide an indoor picnic with all the fun of the outdoors.

Greyhound Dog Show

In aid of the Retired Greyhound Trust and T & ST Pony Club with 13 novelty classes for your pooches to enter.
11am prompt start. £1 entry into the ring. Trophies to Winners, Rosettes to 6th Place.


Sat 2nd and Sun 3rd August 2008- North Devon Juggling Festival

Enjoy a locally produced BIG Sheep breakfast (9am-11am) while being entertained with some of the South West's most imaginative jugglers. If you want to learn to juggle three balls and a host of tricks the BIG Sheep is the place to be this weekend.
To avoid dissappointment please contact as nearer the time to confirm times for all events.
