Lynton & Lynmouth Cliff Railway a unique Victorian Water Powered Lift, that connects the picturesque fishing village of Lynmouth at the bottom to its twin village of Lynton perched 500 foot high above. This fascinating railway has been in operation for over 120 years and still uses the same method today, probably one of the most environmentally friendly attractions in the country as it is totally powered by water. Some of the most spectacular views of the Bristol channel can be experienced while travelling down or up the 862 foot track, this is not to be missed while visiting North Devon.
