Strictly for grown-ups!
Established in 2002, The BIG Sheep Brewery is now producing up to 15,000 pints of award winning ales a week.

The Brewery shop sells bottles of Ales and various ciders. Take out "Kegs" of ales and beer are available in 18, 36 and 72 pints on request.

Free tasting is available throughout the main season (April - October) in the brewery shop where they have a selection of great beers to take home.

Master Brewer Simon Lacey is pictured with his award winning beer. Voted CAMRA'S Top Strong Ale in Devon & Cornwall.

Beers Include:
BAA-TENDERS BEST
A classic ale and the landlord's favourite, this light session beer is perfect for summer drinking. 4.2% ABV.

GOLDEN FLEECE
We use crystal malt to make this refreshing light ale, named after one of the sheep racing world's stars. 4.4% ABV.

SHEPHERD'S RUIN
Tastes like heaven, kicks like a mule. Take it home and save it for a special occasion. 6% ABV

OTHER BEERS
Look out for Country Life beers that are also brewed here at The BIG Sheep: Old Appledore, Golden Pig, Wallop, Country Bumpkin, Black Boar, Devon Porter and the strongest ale from N.Devon 10% Devonshire 10'der.

Come and watch the Brewery Show and find out how our real ales are made the traditional way. Our demonstrators will give you facts and fun information that will entise you into tasting it for yourself. Adults only of course!
